David Walliams LOLs on LPs R4 2020
We were delighted to receive an Audio Production Awards nomination for our Virtual Strawberry Fair project, 12 hours of programming for Cambridge105Radio, Star Radio, Future Radio, HCR and Biggles FM which was funded by the government-backed Audio Content Fund. The project has also received multiple nominations in the 2020 Community Radio Awards.
During the first lockdown of 2020 we produced LOLs on LPs, an Archive Hour for BBC Radio 4 with David Walliams where he celebrated his early comic influences with lots of ripe language. And we are now starting work on an ambitious 10-part series for BBC Radio 2 which will air in autumn 2021.
Other recent projects include documentaries for BBC Radio 4 about right wing politics in the former DDR, The Wolves Are Coming Back and Innervisions about the amazing work of visually-impaired musicians, a third series of David Hepworth essays for BBC Radio 3 – The Lost World of the LP, and a feature on coercive control Every Breath You Take for BBC Radio 1. We produced On The Street Where You Live, a documentary celebrating 50 Years of BBC Radio Nottingham following the success of our syndicated programme Friendly Radio which aired on all 40 BBC Local Radio stations in November 2017. The same month BBC Radio 4 broadcast our documentary about the Songwriting With Soldiers project where singers and composers work with veterans suffering from PTSD. For radio and audio projects we are part of the Folder&Co group.
We are making regular podcasts for the DAAD Research Hub at Cambridge University. TDC was appointed official video production company for the prestigious Sport Resolutions conference in 2016.
London Voiceover, our agency launched in 2013 goes from strength to strength. We supply voices to a range of clients from animators to kids’ TV producers and have recently worked with the BBC, Red Bull, Sony Music, Spotify, Homebase, Disney and HPS. We launched the sister company Manchester Voiceover in 2016.
