TDC staff-member Heather Davies is known for her extra-curricular activities. The latest of which is a new hyperlocal podcast for Peckham and Dulwich, Here Be Angels.
The mastermind of the operation is Peckhamite Richard Leeming – who approached Heather a couple of months ago to pick her brain about podcasting. Heather jumped at the chance to do more audio, particularly about the local area. A Groucho meeting later and the team was joined by another local resident, Sarah Jane Griffiths.
In the first episode Heather takes a look at what makes Lordship Lane one of the most successful local high streets in London, speaking to the proprietors of local butchers William Rose, local fishmongers Moxons and local farmshop and restaurant Franklins. Richard asks if Peckham’s Bellenden Road can match Dulwich’s Lordship Lane and Sarah Jane meets the fantastic Dulwich Ukelele Club.
